Optimal Liposomal Glutathione by Seeking Health provides 500 mg of reduced glutathione per serving. Glutathione is an important antioxidant that is naturally found in every cell in the body, providing protection from free radicals and peroxides. Within the body, glutathione is produced from three amino acids: L-cysteine, glycine and L-glutamic acid. Glutathione is present in the body in two forms: reduced and oxidized. The oxidized form can be recycled and converted back into the reduced form via important enzymatic reactions within the body. Glutathione is also present in many dietary sources, though its amino acid precursors are more abundant in foods. This antioxidant is essential in helping the body’s cellular defenses and immune system function at full capacity.*
In the body, glutathione acts as a cell protectant. It may be involved in helping to maintain normal protein structures within the body, marking certain molecules for elimination as waste in the liver, and in important enzymatic reactions needed for neutralizing potentially damaging free radicals throughout the body. It may support detoxification pathways and healthy functioning of the liver, kidneys, lungs, and intestinal tract.*
Optimal Liposomal Glutathione uses a unique liposomal delivery method to support optimal absorption of this reduced glutathione and help to protect the fragile molecule through the digestive tract. A liposome is a tiny phospholipid vesicle that mimics the body’s own cell structure. Liposomes may be better absorbed across cell membranes in a way that is not possible for ordinary water-soluble or fat-soluble nutrients. Our liposomes are composed of non-hydrogenated phospholipids, derived from GMO-free sunflower oil. This is a soy free product.*
Suggested Use
Shake lightly before each use. On an empty stomach or between meals, fill 1 tsp nearly full and take by mouth. May also mix in 1 oz. of water or juice (juice may be preferred due to the potent taste of glutathione). Use as directed by your healthcare professional.
Warnings
Intended for use by adults and children over 4 years of age. Children and pregnant or lactating women should consult their healthcare practitioner prior to use.
