The body’s ability to utilize a mineral is primarily a matter of size and solubility. If the mineral particles can be reduced down small enough, they can then be absorbed by the body without the need for them to be broken down into a less usable form through the process of digestion. The most important issue for absorption of a mineral is making sure it is in its ionic form. Molybdenum is a trace mineral found in most plant and animal tissues. Molybdenum is an essential cofactor for many of the enzymes involved in protein synthesis and the mobilization or iron use in the body. Molybdenum helps with metabolism of fats and carbohydrates and is needed in the liver for the detoxification of sulfites and preservatives.  It plays an important role in sulfur metabolism and the enzyme process for the use of iron in the body.

Molybdenum can play an important role in normalizing copper/zinc ratios (by preventing copper absorption) found to be abnormal in a study by Dr. William Walsh of the Pfeiffer Treatment Center in individuals with behavioral disorders.

Suggested Dosage:  Adults take 10 drops daily with12 oz juice or water.  Children take 5 drops daily with 8 oz juice or water.  Do not take on an empty stomach.  Shake well before using.
